 Ray-Ting 2000 Artillery Multiple Launch Rocket System (RT2000 AMLRS) is one of the eye-catching military achievements in Taiwan. Developed by the NCSIST, this system, covering a range from 7 up to 45 km based on 3 different rocket modules, is designed to carry out anti-amphibious operations to accurately destroy the enemy forces at sea and on the shore. The main role of the RT2000 is costal defense, aiming to neutralize enemy amphibious craft with troops and equipment before reaching the beach.

 With its computer system installed all-Chinese operating instructions, firing table and database, RT2000 can be easily operated by the ROC troops. Such a user-friendly interface can significantly shorten the time and learning process for the trainees while in training.

 The platform of the RT2000 system consists of a Fire Direction Center Vehicle, 8x8 Cargo Truck launchers and ammo carriers. RT2000 launcher, mounted on the high mobility 8X8 Cargo Truck along with a self-reload crane, is equipped with fully automatic fire control system, elevation and azimuth driven systems, and position & direction determining system.

  RT2000 is designed to launch three variants of rockets: Mk15, Mk30 and Mk45, which can be maximally mounted with 3, 3, 2 rocket pods, respectively, on the chassis at a time. These solid-propellant rockets, attached with movable fins to keep the flight stable, mainly carry steel-ball shrapnel high-explosive warheads. The interchangeable sealed rocket pod can be replaced and reloaded rapidly, to effectively reduce the requirements of logistics, maintenance and transportation.

 Depending on the rocket modules with different capabilities, its lethality may meet various operational requirements to respond the threats from the shore to the sea. With which, the artillery units can effectively destroy the enemy forces at sea and on the shore.
