Located in Tainan, the Sky Bear is a chic café full of aviation elements and military features. You may see that various Aviation Bears and airplane scale models are being presented all around the coffee shop. The interior settings are closely related with the personal traits of the proprietress’s husband, a retired air force pilot. Another eye-catching spot is its stylish Military Latte Art made by the proprietress. It makes sense that aviation enthusiasts and airmen, active or retired, love to pay a visit to this specialty coffee shop among trendy cafes.
Walking into the Sky Bear coffee shop, you may see some super deformed art, originally known as "chibi," drawn by the proprietress on the wall as well as various Aviator Bear stuffed animals all around the corner, including the most popular R.O.C. Air Force (ROCAF) Aviator Bear. The proprietress said she was not especially interested in Aviator Bear in the first place until various Aviator Bears brought in for her as gifts after the shop started running. While arranging the layout to fill her coffee shop with warmer atmosphere, she neatly displayed these stuffed animals as decoration, one of the elements making the Sky Bear a specialty and attractive spot.
In addition, there are a variety of military aircraft scale models arranged in the coffee shop, such as F-16, AT-3, T-34, IDF, and more. Those warplane scale models, presented and made by the couple’s friends who love to build scale models, have been attracting attention from quite a few aviation enthusiasts and airmen to pay a visit to the Sky Bear by its reputation while having a cup of coffee there.
Near the corner side of a wall hangs a large piece of artwork in the form of film strip templates, composed of a variety of latte art photos if you take a close look at each one of them. Among which, the most special photos are F-16, IDF, and Mirage fighter jets presented in the form of latte art designs. Other latte art creativities include insignia patches across the units in the ROCAF. Due to her specialty in latte art design, a bunch of guests from all around Taiwan came to see her special latte art work by her reputation.
According to the proprietress, her introverted personality has turned into much more outgoing manner like her husband, who always keeps open door to people, and thus, made friends from all age groups, such as cadets almost the same age as her son and those airmen who have gotten married and started a career. All of these features facilitate the Sky Bear coffee shop a top choice for people to enjoy military recreation activities.
